While the plot was fairly interesting, I was struck by old-fashioned elements of this story. Mentions of a nurse wearing a cap (it's been decades since nurses wore caps), payphones (and nary a mention of cell phones and texting), and a defunct brand of automobile (Mercury) give this novel a feel of the 70's and 80's, not the 2000's.I'm not suggesting that she sex it up but the author needs to contemporize her writing to appeal to a wider audience.

Forbidden Fruit is well written with a good balance between mystery and romance. Was hard to put down I wanted to see what was happening next.
Great first book by a new author!! It held my interest from start to finish. I hope she is busy writing additional books with this character.

This was a great allegory about truth and deception. When we get caught up in deception, even if the goal is not to hurt people, all kinds of other people get hurt. Pursue Truth...it is where beauty and happiness are found.
Couldn't put it down. Was a page turner. It was a beautiful story any mature adult would love. Done in very good taste. No sex or dirty words.Can't wait for the next book.

I found the story line sweet, and entertaining, if somewhat predictable. I wish the character descriptions went more in-depth, as I think it would have made them all relatable. All in all, a good book.
